Welcome to AOPL
Welcome to the Australian Online Poker League. We are a small community of Aussies who love to play online poker and against each other. We play nightly against one another in online poker rooms. We have been up and running since 2006 and love new players who come and join to talk poker, challenge each other in our games arcade and yes of course play poker. There is lots to see and do on the site, so please join and have a look around. We are not an online poker room but we do offer an Online Poker League nightly for people who join at online poker rooms who arrange games for us. Advantages by joining are that you get to play against a regular group of players.
Play in our all Australian Online Poker League

Got a question about our league, check out the FAQ's. We play our games at PokerStars, If you don't already have it, download the free PokerStars software from www.pokerstars.com - Open the main poker lobby, then click on the Home Games tab, Click the 'Join a Poker Club' button

Some people may notice that the website looks like it's old self again. I have not been active on here for months and the last post was over a year ago because of the change to the website back then. But I have reverted the website back to the old one and everyone's old login to the site will still work.
So a few things.
Firstly, I am not announcing any games in the near future. This may change, it may not. If anyone would like to arrange any new games for players, then I will most welcome their help. I will make this person an admin on the site and they will have some freedom to do what they want to help promote the site. I will remain owner of this site.
Secondly, there are a number of broken links now on the website which need fixing. This also may or may not happen soon. It will come down to if I am busy or not. Unfortunately life got in the way in regards to this site and I am kind of sad that it has happened as we had a lot of regulars and some really good people over the years. A few which I sometimes still hear from.
Lastly, I will at some stage turn this website into a historic site. AOPL ran for 10+ years in a competition format and I would like to celebrate the players who we played with and some of the achievements we all made towards the site and the games we played. We were a very unique website.
Anyway, if you would like to make a comment on this, please feel free to login and do so below. I would be happy to hear from any old players.

Hi all, Long time that I haven't posted on here. I would like to announce that Titan Poker are interested in holding our games again. At this stage I have absolutely no details on any format and haven't spoken minor details. Not many people play any more but I would like to see how many are interested in playing at Titan again. I would look at getting prize money added to games and working on an old tried format that worked. So I am looking at some suggestions on format, game types and what you would like to see even if it is to tell us that you are playing elsewhere now or have no interest any more in Poker. Please post below. I am also going to post this on our Facebook page along with a blanket email to all our members. It may be a few weeks away before anything is decided as I await feedback from members and then we can start playing again. I look forward to your feedback.

This question is about if we went down the track of membership per month and had monthly prizes but we could also put prize money away for yearly prizes too. We could still set up games with Poker Stars or 888 poker as that is where we can set up with ease. All monthly membership would go into prizes.
We could offer mix of free games and buy in games and anyone could still join in whether or not that they paid the membership however to be part of the prizes, you will need to pay of course? Free games would mean no prize money for that game, but important to still get points for the leaderboard where you are aiming to win prize money because of the position you finish. Buyins could still offer the same truple points like it does now.
This is just an idea and needs a bit of thought into it and more structure on how it would work, but I think it could be good if we get enough people saying yes.
It is about time I revamp this competition and draw more people and players to the games.

I have stuck with similar games like last month.
I have added a Saturday Game a heads up game. We haven't tried this before so will be interesting to see how it goes.
I have also added a AOPL friendly cash table for those who would like to play away from our league tournament games.
In case you didn't know, I am hoping to get back to this later on this year with some type of relaunch as I have been so busy with other stuff and not much time for poker, but hopefully settling down soon.
